Job summary

University Woods Campus in Madison, WI is seeking a Construction & Project Manager to lead capital improvement, renovation, and infrastructure projects across the campus. You will plan, manage, and oversee projects ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and minimal disruption to residents and staff.

The role requires collaboration with leadership, residents, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies, with a focus on life safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality turnover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience managing construction, renovation, facilities, or capital projects.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or occupied campus environments preferred.
• Knowledge of life safety regulations, ADA requirements, and building systems.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital improvement projects from concept through occupancy and closeout.
• Develop campus improvement plans with executive leadership.
• Develop annual capital budgets and multi-year master plans.
• Coordinate design development, permitting, procurement, and implementation.
• Oversee construction and renovation activities across the campus.
• Minimize disruption to residents and healthcare operations during construction.
• Ensure life safety compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
• Provide regular status reports to leadership and committees.
• Lead project closeout, warranty reviews, and turnover documentation.
