Job summary

University Retirement Community in Davis, California seeks a Renovations Manager to lead renovation, capital improvement, remodeling, and construction projects across our campus, delivering quality, safety, and on-time results. You will direct quality assurance, manage budgets, supervise the Renovations team, coordinate with contractors and city officials, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in construction, renovations, facilities management, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field, including supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and understand specifications, plans, and drawings, with advanced knowledge of architectural and engineering plans and the ability to communicate with city officials.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee renovation, remodeling, capital improvement, and construction projects from planning through completion, safely, on time, and within budget.
• Direct quality assurance and customer service for capital projects, including routine inspections for quality control.
• Communicate project status, timelines, and impacts across departments and campus stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, and vendors, monitoring safety, quality, and contract compliance.
• Manage and develop the Renovations team while overseeing operations, budgeting, scheduling, safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
