Job summary

Avamere at The Stafford in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a part-time Bartender to create a welcoming social atmosphere, mix and serve beverages, and host community events for residents, families, and guests.

You will balance hospitality with dietary and memory-care considerations, maintaining a warm, dignified presence and supporting social activities and happy hours in the community pub or lounge.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum state legal age requirement for serving alcohol (21 years old).
• Previous bartending or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Exceptional patience, an empathetic and warm demeanor, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and guidelines.
• Know and accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Prepare light pub fare, snacks, or garnishes.
• Verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible service.
• Greet residents by name and provide a warm, dignified experience.
• Assist Life Enrichment and Activities teams with events and social activities.
• Help welcome new residents and introduce them to the drink menu.
