Avamere at The Stafford in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is seeking a part-time Bartender to create a welcoming social atmosphere for residents, families, and guests. You will mix beverages, host events, and ensure responsible service while adapting to memory care needs.

The role emphasizes warmth, attentiveness, and collaboration with Life Enrichment and Activities teams to support a vibrant community life.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum state age to serve alcohol (21+).
• Previous bartending or restaurant experience preferred.
• Food safety certification and Food Handler State Card required.
• Ability to work with memory care residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve beverages per recipes and guidelines.
• Accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Prepare light pub fare and garnishes.
• Verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible service.
• Greet residents by name and provide a warm, dignified experience.
• Assist activities teams with happy hours, parties, and events.
• Integrate new residents and introduce them to the drink menu.
• Adapt communication for memory care residents with patience and empathy.
• Maintain bar inventory and submit orders; keep area clean.
• Operate POS and handle payments per tipping policy.
