Avamere in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a part-time Bartender to create a welcoming social atmosphere for residents. You will mix beverages, host events, and ensure responsible service while balancing dietary needs and cognitive care plans.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, empathy for seniors, and collaboration with Life Enrichment and Activities teams to foster community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to serve alcohol.
• Experience in bartending or restaurant work preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and warm demeanor with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve beverages according to recipes and guidelines.
• Accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Prepare light pub fare and garnishes.
• Verify age and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
• Greet residents warmly and engage with them respectfully.
• Assist with happy hours and community events.
• Introduce new residents to the drink menu and other residents.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Set up bar, maintain cleanliness, and manage glassware.
• Operate POS and handle payments per policy.
