Job summary

Enso Village in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Specialist and Director in creating engaging, person-centered programs for residents across Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living.

This hands-on role blends creativity, organization, and compassion to foster joy, purpose, and connection through daily activities, supporting residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well‑being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in senior living, recreation, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Experience with dementia or cognitive decline is highly desirable.
• Valid California driver's license required; ability to drive community vehicles preferred.
• Regular schedule consists of five days per week with weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, and implementing daily activity programs under supervision.
• Lead or co-facilitate small group and one-on-one programs (art, music, exercise, crafts, games, sensory activities).
• Conduct one-on-one visits and individualized engagement for residents.
• Set up and clean activity areas; ensure safety and accessibility.
• Escort residents to activities and assist with transportation to events and outings.
• Support community-wide events, calendars, and communication materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support resident care and well-being.
• Assist volunteers and instructors to ensure events are engaging and well-coordinated.
