Job summary

Oakmont of Roseville is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and promote engaging activities, outings, and events that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, ensure safety, and communicate warmly with residents, families, and staff. A HS diploma and comfort with MS Office are required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.
• Able to operate a personal computer and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
