Job summary

Oakmont of Roseville is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize, promote, and direct activities and excursions for residents, enhancing independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit and schedule volunteers, and ensure a safe, engaging environment. Requirements include being 18+, having a HS diploma, MS Office proficiency, background checks, and health screenings. Some driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license or Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB Tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movies, exercise sessions, clubs, games, and art/creativity opportunities.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
