Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Novato, CA is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and promote engaging activities and excursions for residents, enhancing independence and quality of life. The role supports the Activity Director and coordinates volunteers in a warm senior living community.

The position requires 18+, a high school diploma, and preferred experience with seniors. Must be able to drive and pass background/health screenings; MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires background check and health screening tests.
• Class C license required; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere and resident participation through activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
