Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Bedford, NH seeks a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to organize and run engaging activities for residents seven days a week. The role supports the Activity Director and enhances residents' psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

You should have a high school diploma or higher (Bachelor’s preferred) and knowledge of aging, dementia, and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with planning and leading activities for seniors.
• Knowledge of aging and disability issues a plus.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of a seven-day activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities.
• Encourage participation and support residents’ pursued activities.
• Understand residents’ backgrounds and abilities to tailor activities.
• Monitor residents and communicate changes to Harbor Care Director.
• Stay with group during excursions.
