Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to organize and implement activities tailored to residents' needs, promoting self-esteem in a caring environment. You will support the Activity Director and help plan engaging seven-day programming.

Responsibilities include leading one-on-one, small and large groups, encouraging participation, and communicating changes to the Harbor Care Director.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or higher.
• Knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Experience with recreational activities beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a seven-day activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group activities.
• Encourage and direct independent activity pursuits.
• Support residents by integrating activities into daily care.
• Know residents' backgrounds, interests, and abilities.
• Motivate residents to participate in programming.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to the Harbor Care Director.
• Supervise groups during excursions.
