Job summary

Beloit Senior Living, LLC is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and implementing engaging programs that enhance residents' social, physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.

You will help foster a positive, inclusive community while ensuring activities meet regulatory requirements and promote a vibrant living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with older adults or in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents.
• Encourage and promote resident participation in activities and events.
• Ensure programs meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
• Provide hands-on assistance with fitness and movement programs.
• Set up, clean up, maintain safety, and properly store activity supplies and equipment.
• Assist with planning and coordinating special events, outings, and celebrations.
• Decorate the community for holidays, seasons, and special occasions.
• Escort residents to offsite activities and appointments as assigned.
• Assist with evaluating activities and gathering resident feedback.
• Promote family and community involvement in activities.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, including DHS 83 and DHS 89 (as applicable).
• Respond appropriately to emergencies within scope of practice and company procedures.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and educational programs.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Report to work on time and prepared for scheduled shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Activity Director or management.
