Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a dedicated Resident Lifestyle Assistant to support the Resident Lifestyle Director. This full-time role focuses on designing and coordinating daily life enrichment activities that promote residents’ physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.

You will lead activities, engage residents individually and in groups, help with newsletters, decorations, and event planning, and ensure safety during outings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of experience with seniors in enrichment activities preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
• Ability to maintain composure and treat residents with respect and dignity.
• Friendly, assertive, professional, outgoing, multitasked and organized.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents one-on-one and in group settings.
• Lead or assist with group and one-on-one activities, exercise, outings.
• Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips and events.
• Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter.
• Encourage resident participation and document outcomes.
• Review goals and progress notes.
• Assist in decorating for events, holidays, and seasonal celebrations.
• Coordinate external trips and reservations with resident safety in mind.
• Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary.
