Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking an Activity Director for a premier senior living community in California. The role focuses on planning and directing diverse activities and excursions to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life, in alignment with our mission and values.

The position is full-time (Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30a–5:00p) with a pay range of $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, meals, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• A minimum of one year experience in providing planned activities and knowledge in evaluating residents’ needs.
• Prefer one year experience supervising and managing employees and volunteers.
• Flexibility in work schedule including holidays, evenings, weekends.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may be mandated per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide an engaging, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere with regularly scheduled activities and events.
• Actively lead activities and encourage resident participation.
• Recruit, develop, manage and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
• Able to operate a Community vehicle.
