Job summary

The Activity Director oversees programming, excursions and events to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life, aligned with our mission and values.

You will recruit and supervise Activity Assistants and volunteers, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure a safe, engaging daily life for residents while promoting teamwork with other

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B preferred with Passenger Endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year experience planning activities and evaluating residents’ needs.
• Prefer 1 year supervising employees and volunteers.
• Flexibility to work holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• May be required to vaccinate and use PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Actively lead activities and encourage participation in all events.
• Recruit, develop, manage and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and other departments.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
