Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking an Activity Assistant in Alameda to organize engaging activities and excursions for residents, promote participation, and enhance quality of life. You will assist the Activity Director, coordinate volunteers, and help create a welcoming social atmosphere across the community.

Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma, and preferably 1 year of senior activity coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license; Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a PC and MS Office apps (Word/Excel/Publisher/PowerPoint).
• Must pass background check and health screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director to create an engaging social atmosphere.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles; support excursions and events.
• Encourage teamwork and cross-department collaboration.
