Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of McAllen is seeking an Activity Director to enrich residents' daily lives with meaningful, person-centered activities, promoting dignity, comfort, and purpose. You will plan and coordinate activities, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and help create a vibrant living environment for seniors in McAllen, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least 1 year of experience with older adults or disabilities in healthcare or human services.
• A minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution, plus 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare or human services.
• Completion of an Activities Director training course, plus 2 years of experience with older adults or individuals with disabilities in a healthcare or human services setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engaging individual and group activities tailored to residents’ needs and functional levels.
• Ensure a variety of activities for both high- and low-functioning residents, including one-to-one activities as needed.
• Complete MDS Section F accurately and on time and develop the activities portion of residents’ care plans and annual assessments.
• Create and distribute a monthly activities calendar and prepare the facility newsletter.
• Coordinate at least two off-site activities per month and participate in community events relevant to the facility.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Events/Activities Coordinator on facility and employee events.
• Recruit, train, and oversee the facility’s volunteer program.
• Participate in QA meetings and complete required monthly QA reports.
