• Completion of an Activities Director training course, plus 2 years of experience with older adults or individuals with disabilities in a healthcare or human services setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engaging individual and group activities tailored to residents’ needs and functional levels.
• Ensure a variety of activities for both high- and low-functioning residents, including one-to-one activities as needed.
• Complete MDS Section F accurately and on time and develop the activities portion of residents’ care plans and annual assessments.
• Create and distribute a monthly activities calendar and prepare the facility newsletter.
• Coordinate at least two off-site activities per month and participate in community events relevant to the facility.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Events/Activities Coordinator on facility and employee events.
• Recruit, train, and oversee the facility’s volunteer program.
• Participate in QA meetings and complete required monthly QA reports.

Wellsential Health is currently seeking an Activity Director to join the team at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of McAllen, a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and long-term care community. This role is responsible for developing and coordinating meaningful activities, recreational programs, and social opportunities that support residents’ emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being.

About the Role
