Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Torrance is seeking an Activity Assistant to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. This role involves organizing and facilitating activities, excursions, and events to promote engagement and social interaction.

The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating activities for seniors and be proficient in MS Office. Working at Oakmont means contributing to a community that prioritizes meaningful relationships among team members and residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing a social atmosphere throughout the Community.
• Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
