Oakmont Management Group in Huntington Beach, California, seeks an Activity Assistant for weekend hours to organize, promote, and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit and schedule volunteers, communicate with residents and families, and help create a engaging social atmosphere through clubs, events, and classes. Must be 18+, high school diploma and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires valid driver's license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Pass background check and health screenings including TB tests.
• May be required to vaccinate and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director by organizing and promoting activities and excursions to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
• Recruit, manage, and schedule community volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive community vehicles and support events.
