Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, oversees Traditions Memory Care activities and excursions to enrich residents’ independence and quality of life. The Activity Coordinator works with the Memory Care Director to organize engaging programs and promote social interaction across the secured Traditions area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 18+ years old, and optional one year of senior activity coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing a creative and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Traditions area.
• Promote resident participation through high-quality activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, and classes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
