Job summary

The Ivy Castle Rock is seeking an Activity Coordinator for our Traditions Memory Care to organize, schedule, promote, and direct engaging activities and excursions designed to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. This role supports the Memory Care Director in creating a creative, rewarding social atmosphere within a secured area.

Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma, and ideally 1 year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Memory Care Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere throughout Traditions Memory Care.
• Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled activities, events, and classes.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.
