Job summary

Ciel Senior Living in Milwaukee is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant who will develop and coordinate activity programs that reflect residents' varied interests and promote meaningful, life-enriching experiences across physical, social, intellectual, and artistic realms.

You will recruit and train volunteers, coordinate staff involvement, plan daily and monthly calendars, host events, arrange transportation, and gather resident feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults.
• Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate people.
• Able to delegate responsibility while maintaining oversight of daily activities and major projects.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed/scheduled.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision to the elderly.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, preferred two years of college specializing in recreational activities.
• Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read, write and interpret administrative information.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer members and involve staff in activities.
• Attend training courses and maintain LMS-based training.
• Other duties as assigned to support community care and resident happiness.
• Communicate to department supervisors about activities and upcoming events.
• Create daily/monthly activity calendars with dates, times, and locations.
• Coordinate and host all special events, including holiday events.
• Provide a forum for residents to meet monthly and share ideas and concerns; submit feedback to Executive Director.
• Maintain equipment within budget guidelines for regular activities.
• Arrange transportation for outings and staff assistance as needed.
• Cultivate opportunities for residents to engage in community centers and service projects.
• Possess and maintain strong knowledge of the community and services provided.
