Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Resident Lifestyle Assistant to support the Resident Lifestyle Director by designing, coordinating and facilitating daily enrichment activities for active residents.

You will engage residents individually and in groups, lead social, educational, and fitness activities, help with events and monthly newsletters, and assist with outings while maintaining safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months experience working with seniors in life enrichment activities preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents one-on-one and in small and large group settings.
• Lead or assist with group and individual social, religious, educational, indoor and outdoor activities, exercise and outings.
• Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips and special events.
• Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter.
• Encourage resident participation and document outcomes when required.
• Review goals and progress notes.
• Assist in decorating for special events, holidays, and seasonal celebrations.
• Support coordination of external trips, including reservations, and ensure resident safety during outings.
• Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary.
