Job summary

Oakmont of Burlingame, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking an Activity Assistant to coordinate engaging activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, ensuring safety, and promoting resident participation; requires a high school diploma and 1 year coordinating activities with seniors, with a valid driver license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must have a valid driver license (Class C, preferably Class B with Passenger Endorsement).
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Capable of passing background and health screenings per safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a vibrant, engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through activities, events, and clubs.
• Recruit, manage, and schedule community volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive community vehicles and support transportation needs.
• Foster teamwork across departments to enhance resident experiences.
