Job summary

Harmony Senior Services invites an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating varied, meaningful programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods. You will assist in planning monthly activities based on wellness dimensions and lead several programs daily.

Responsibilities include surveying residents, coordinating with the program team, promoting participation, recruiting volunteers, and arranging transportation for activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; state requirements may apply.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing recreational and educational programs.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to tailor activities to interests and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with program team to plan calendars, events, and outings.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to promote participation.
