Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Newark, Delaware seeks a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating multifaceted recreational and educational programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods. You will also provide safe, scheduled van transportation to residents.

The role involves coordinating with the team to plan monthly activity calendars, promoting participation, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative and engaging with seniors.
• Experience planning and conducting activities.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to sit, stand, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing activities.
• Lead 6–7 high-quality programs per day.
• Coordinate with program team to plan calendars, events, and outings.
• Promote resident participation and satisfaction with programs.
• Provide safe van transportation for residents and organize trips.
• Maintain mileage, trip, and expenses records; keep van clean.
• Attend resident council meetings and assist with programming areas.
