Job summary

The Canopy Senior Living - Portland, OR is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant (LEA) to support the Life Enrichment Director and Community Relations Director. You will help set up activities, prepare materials, and welcome current and future residents, contributing to a warm, engaging community.

Ideal candidates bring compassion for elders, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a team. You’ll maintain activity logs, assist with event planning, and help ensure safe, welcoming

Qualifications

• Compassion, kindness, and desire to work with elders and families.
• Ability to multi-task in a team and work independently.
• Strong verbal communication and English literacy.
• Willingness to pass criminal background check and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist LED in setting up and preparing for upcoming activities.
• Take attendance of residents attending an activity.
• Keep a log of activities attended for each resident.
• Distribute weekly bulletins and monthly activity schedules.
• Ensure activity areas are maintained after activities and before shifts end.
• Support other duties as requested by LED/CRD.
• Maintain a current driver’s license to serve as an alternate transportation driver when needed.
• Assist Marketing with lead generating events.
• Help select welcome gifts for new residents.
