Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Signal Mountain, TN, is seeking a Director of Celebrations to develop and oversee resident services, planning activities that promote health, wellbeing, engagement and growth across independent living, assisted living, memory care.

You will recruit resources, coordinate calendars, manage budgets, supervise Recreation and Event Coordinators, and ensure compliance while fostering a vibrant, engaging community.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, or Adult Education preferred.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Two years supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and conducts lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for residents.
• Plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
• Recruits and develops resources for services to residents and coordinates with outside organizations and volunteers.
• Advises and motivates residents regarding activities based on interests and opportunities for growth.
• Prepares and organizes a calendar of events and submits it for approval; posts and distributes the calendar.
• Develops and prints the community newsletter and provides leadership of lifestyle program.
• Coordinates the community library and manages equipment and supplies within budgetary guidelines.
• Organizes and supervises a volunteer staff and maintains resident engagement data.

Education

Associate degree or relevant field (Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, Adult Education)
