Sycamore Manor is seeking an Activities Director to plan, organize and implement engaging activity programs for residents, aligned with their care plans and holistic well-being. You will lead social and recreational initiatives meeting diverse needs and interests in a healthcare setting.

The role requires passion for seniors, a flexible, energetic personality, and preferably certification as an Activities Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area; licensed or registered nationally or by the state.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activity programs to meet residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs per the care plan.
