Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an Activities Director at Cabot Park Village to coordinate, implement, and evaluate an engaging senior activity program. The role oversees activity staff and a Van Driver to create varied, innovative programming that enriches resident life.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, experience with older adults, and leadership capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred; prior senior care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Must be qualified by experience and training to develop programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals.
• Management and Leadership Experience.
• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements events and programs to enhance the assisted living experience and improve the resident quality of life.
• Evaluates programs to ensure quality and fit for all residents.
• Develops a seven-day-a-week activity program engaging for all residents.
• Monthly family-centered programming to promote participation and scheduling ease.
• Leads one-on-one, small group, and large group programming per schedule.
• Supports and directs independent program pursuits for residents and groups.
• Supports residents by viewing all care aspects as activities.
• Produces monthly newsletters and calendars for internal/external use; maintains daily activity calendars.
