Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Yarmouth, ME is seeking a Programming/Activity Director to coordinate, implement, and evaluate our assisted living program. You’ll oversee the activity staff and van driver while shaping an engaging seven-day activity calendar and family-centered programming across the community.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, leadership and management experience, and familiarity with aging issues; experience with seniors and proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Management and Leadership Experience.
• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements events and programs to enhance the assisted living experience and improve the resident quality of life.
• Evaluates programs to ensure the quality and fit for all residents.
• Develops a seven day a week activity program engaging all residents.
• Coordinate monthly family-centered programming to promote participation.
• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group programming per schedule.
• Support independent program pursuits and transportation coordination.
