Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, overseeing Ivy Living communities in Milpitas, seeks an Activity Director to design, promote, and supervise engaging resident activities. The role drives excursions, events, and clubs to boost residents’ independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires current Class C license, prefer Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year experience in providing planned activities and evaluating residents’ needs.
• Prefer 1 year experience supervising employees and volunteers.
• Flexibility in work schedule: holidays, evenings, weekends, and extra shifts.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.
• Vaccination may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging activities and excursions to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.
• Actively participate in residents’ activities and encourage participation.
• Recruit, develop, manage, and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Community Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
• Be able to drive Community vehicles.
