Job summary

Las Colinas Post Acute seeks an Activities Assistant who brings energy, creativity, and compassion to brighten residents' days. You’ll plan and facilitate engaging activities and events, lead group games, crafts, music, and outings, and help residents stay connected with families and neighbors.

In this full-time role, you’ll maintain calendars and supplies, collaborate with a compassionate interdisciplinary team, and create an inclusive, joyful environment where every resident can participate

Qualifications

• Positive, enthusiastic and compassionate personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a passion for working with seniors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in activities, recreation, customer service, education, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and facilitating engaging activities and events for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and create an inclusive environment.
• Lead group activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise programs, and social events.
• Support celebrations and community outings.
• Build relationships with residents and families.
• Maintain activity calendars, attendance records, and supplies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote well-being.
