Job summary

United Methodist Communities Bristol Glen in Newton, NJ is hiring a full-time Activities Assistant to plan and lead resident activities, coordinate events, and keep programs engaging, safe, and accessible for all residents.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience; NJ CNA certification is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday with every other weekend and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities, events, and programs that residents genuinely look forward to
• Encourage resident participation and help run recreational and social programs
• Safely transport residents to on-site and community activities and outings
• Track attendance and participation so no resident gets left out
• Build relationships with local organizations to bring new experiences to campus
• Keep activity supplies and materials stocked and ready to go
• Share input with the care team on resident goals and well-being

Education
