Job summary

Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. You will help create an engaging, welcoming environment for residents and assist with planning recreational programs, group activities, and holiday celebrations tailored to individual interests.

You will motivate residents to participate, transport them as needed, and ensure activities run smoothly while maintaining safety and dignity. A team-oriented, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic approach to working with residents.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to work the required hours and rotation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out recreational programs and events meeting residents' needs.
• Support, encourage, and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Facilitate activities while maintaining awareness of all participating residents.
• Clean up after each activity and prepare for upcoming activities.
• Assemble, dismantle, organize, and store equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with residents' families and encourage involvement.
• Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Support resident dignity, safety, and comfort during activities.
