Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Part-time Activities Coordinator to enrich residents' lives through group and individual activities. You will lead programs like crafts, music, and exercise, and transport residents when needed.

Strong communication with a care team is essential. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, while fostering person-centered care and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred; geriatrics experience beneficial.
• Preferred CNA certification or currently enrolled in a healthcare related program; BLS required depending on location; CPR training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise programs, music, discussion groups, bingo and spiritual programs.
• Provide one-to-one visits and individualized activities; transport residents using safety procedures.
• Document attendance, participation, responses and observations; communicate preferences and needs to the interdisciplinary team.
