Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time Activities Aide to enhance residents' quality of life through meaningful activities. The role involves coordinating the monthly activity calendar, leading individual and group sessions, and assisting with basic nursing tasks and transportation as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma, preferred experience in geriatrics or social activities, and CNA certification or enrollment in a healthcare-related program.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• Preferred CNA certification or enrollment in healthcare-related program. BLS required by location.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer activities to improve residents’ quality of life.
• Lead one-on-one and group activities as scheduled on the activity calendar.
• Assist with simple nursing procedures and transporting residents.
• Document with MDS/EPIC and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and strong communication.
