Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking an Activities Assistant to help lead daily activities, events, and enrichment programs for residents. You will encourage participation, assist with calendars and newsletters, and escort residents to programs as needed, while maintaining organized spaces and supplies.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in senior living is preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
