Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care-Logan in Logan, UT is seeking a part-time Activities Aide. You will assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs for residents under supervision, aligning with care plans and facility policies.

Requirements include High School education, a current Food Handlers Permit, and being at least 16 years old. TRT is preferred and a TRT class/license must be obtained within 9 months of hire. Exceptional communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
• Therapeutic Recreation Technician (TRT) is preferred. Required TRT Class and License with in 9 months of hire if not already obtained.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a monthly calendar of activities written in large print and posted visibly.
• Ensure monthly calendar is placed in each resident's room.
• Interview residents or families to obtain activity preferences.
• Coordinate and assist residents in getting to activity locations.
• Assist in conducting activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.
• Document activity attendance and progress notes with resident responses.
• Observe mood and involvement and report changes to the Activities Director.
• Involve residents and families in planning activities when possible.
• Assist with in-room activities for one-on-one visits.
• Arrange offsite field trips and transportation as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
