Job summary

FloSports is hiring a senior live streaming platform engineer to design, build, and operate our fault-tolerant live-video pipeline. You will own backend services in Node.js/NestJS and/or Go, ensuring scalability and reliability across tens of thousands of events annually.

Experience with AWS Media services is a plus, and on-call rotation is required. You will partner with product and engineering teams to implement features, test coverage, and robust monitoring to deliver high-quality streams

Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating live broadcast video pipelines at scale.
Strong understanding of the live signal chain, redundancy and failover.
Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js and/or Go.
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
Experience with unit/integration testing (Jest, Vitest).

Responsibilities

Operate, automate, and improve the live broadcast video pipeline for tens of thousands of events per year.
Monitor stream health and QoE at scale; build tooling and alerts.
Design data models and queries for SQL databases.
Build and maintain backend microservices using Node.js/NestJS and/or Go.
Write tests to ensure code quality (Jest/Vitest).
Collaborate with product managers to deliver new features.
Diagnose live broadcast issues and improve redundancy and failover.
