Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Senior Litigation Specialist to manage complex auto and homeowners claims remotely across the United States, with exceptions for Hawaii and Alaska. You will guide defense counsel, assess settlements, and lead negotiations to control costs while pursuing timely resolutions.

You will analyze liability, damages, coverage, and risk, coordinating discovery plans, IMEs, and expert retention as needed. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• Proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own complex litigated auto and homeowners claims and guide defense counsel.
• Evaluate settlement opportunities and establish settlement authority.
• Lead negotiations to achieve fair, timely resolutions while controlling costs.
• Direct discovery plans including depositions and IMEs.
• Coordinate budgets for outside counsel and monitor defense expenses.
• Present litigated case recommendations to IELT management.
• Secure authority up to the highest levels for resolution.
