Job summary

Jobot, a mid-sized Austin-based law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The role focuses on complex litigation with support across trial prep, document management, and discovery.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in the legal field, paralegal certification, and strong research and writing skills. This is a permanent position offering a generous compensation and benefit package in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the legal industry, particularly in litigation.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in trial preparation and knowledge of the litigation process.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation from onset through post-trial.
• Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
• Assist with drafting and reviewing pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and correspondence.
• Organize and manage documents, and compile document productions into databases.
• Coordinate and prepare materials for court filings and hearings, including exhibits and evidence.
• Assist in trial preparation: organize evidence, exhibits, schedule witnesses, meet deadlines.
• Coordinate logistics for depositions, including scheduling and transcript management.
• Maintain and update case files, calendars, and trial deadlines.
• Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, experts, and court personnel.
