Contact Government Services, LLC (CGS) in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support a fast-moving in-house government legal team. The role covers eDiscovery workflows, document management, and attorney support.

The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate or JD, with at least two years of litigation paralegal experience and proficiency in Lexis/Westlaw, CM/ECF, and IPRO Eclipse.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience is required; trial experience is very helpful.
• At least one year of automated litigation support experience; strong knowledge of federal/state court systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools (Lexis/Westlaw).
• Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of legal documents and ensures compliance with local court rules.
• Reviews incoming documents and case materials and tracks case status.
• Assists attorneys in trial preparation, including notebooks, exhibits, and witness lists.
• Performs legal research and verifies citations using Westlaw/LexisNexis.
• Files legal documents electronically with the court via CM/ECF.
• Manages discovery processing and production, including Bates stamping and redaction with Adobe Acrobat.
• Maintains electronic case files and calendar deadlines in the case management system.
