Addison Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex matters. The role includes legal research, document preparation, discovery, court filings, case organization, and trial preparation in a fast-paced nonprofit legal setting.

Requirements include 5+ years of paralegal experience, strong Bluebook and citation skills, and hands-on Westlaw. You will coordinate calendars for multiple attorneys and work onsite four days per week at Lansdowne, VA.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience supporting litigation matters in a paralegal capacity.
• Experience in a law firm, legal nonprofit, or similar litigation-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebook formatting and cite-checking.
• Hands-on experience with Westlaw is required.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys and managing competing deadlines.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and electronic document management systems.
• Strong legal research, writing, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day paralegal support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters.
• Research and interpret applicable federal, state, and local court rules and procedures.
• Prepare and format litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, petitions, and related filings.
• Assist with electronic court filings and maintain accurate filing records.
• Perform detailed citation review, including Bluebook formatting and source verification.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
• Assist with discovery by organizing, reviewing, tracking, and preparing documents for production.
• Work within eDiscovery systems to support document review and case-related production.
• Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, trial binders, and other materials for hearings and trial.
• Monitor case dockets and track deadlines, filings, and case activity.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and ensure proper document management.
• Assist with attorney calendars, case management systems, and deadlines.
• Coordinate materials for hearings, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Provide support on special projects and additional assignments as needed.
