Addison Group is seeking a disciplined Litigation Paralegal in Chicago to join a small attorney team. You will handle document prep, pleadings, filing, case management, and client communications while coordinating with 4–5 attorneys in a deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of paralegal experience in litigation, strong MS Word/Excel skills, and experience with eDiscovery software. This is a fully onsite, Monday–Friday role in a professional law firm setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a law firm or similar setting.
• Prior litigation experience including court-related processes and case preparation.
• Experience working with eDiscovery software and electronic legal records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and deadline-driven capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple attorneys and adapt to varying work styles.
• Willingness to work onsite five days per week.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to a team of 4–5 attorneys handling litigation and other legal matters.
• Draft, format, proofread, and revise legal correspondence, pleadings, court documents, and related materials.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and supporting documentation in internal databases.
• Assist with electronic court filings and ensure submissions comply with court procedures and deadlines.
• Track litigation dates, filing requirements, and deadlines to support timely submissions.
• Maintain legal calendars including real estate tax appeal deadlines and other regulatory dates.
• Coordinate opening of new client matters including intake docs and conflict checks.
• Communicate with clients to request financial statements and other documentation for proceedings.
• Prepare client invoices, case updates, and correspondence per attorney instructions.
• Collaborate with billing to verify invoice accuracy and resolve questions.
• Use eDiscovery platforms to assist with document organization, review, and case prep.
• Manage workloads and priorities across multiple attorneys.
