Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate with 3–5 years’ experience in litigation.
• Understanding of complex legal concepts and terminology.
• Knowledge of state, federal, appellate court rules and procedures.
• Experience with ECF e-filing systems.
• Ability to draft pleadings and discovery.
• Strong research using LexisNexis or Westlaw.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents.
• Assist in preparation of legal memoranda; cite-check; Bluebook rules; format per local court rules.
• Proofread and finalize documents for filing or service.
• Gather facts, documents, exhibits, and evidence to assist in actions or motions.
• Assist with discovery requests and document production; organize and log materials.
• Maintain and search databases.
• Work with clients and class members to gather and convey information.
• Prepare materials for oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trial.
• Organize exhibits, witness materials, and trial notebooks; coordinate trial logistics.
• Perform admin tasks like scanning, e-filing, service, and calendaring deadlines.
