Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP in Portland, Oregon, seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support large caseloads, draft documents, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and outside counsel.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate and at least 7 years of law firm experience in litigation, including case organization, discovery, and electronic filing; the position is hybrid with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required.
• 7+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Deep knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and e-filing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and complex caseloads, including class actions.
• Case organization and discovery.
• Fact gathering and research.
• Drafting legal documents and preparing correspondence for attorney review.
• Court document preparation and filing (electronic and paper) in all State and Federal Courts.
• Assisting with all phases of trial, arbitration, hearing, and depositions.
• Coordinating efforts with attorneys, clients, outside counsel, opposing counsel, other parties, and vendors.
