Job summary

Motive seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel, Litigation to lead our litigation strategy at the intersection of technology and business objectives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Security, and Finance to protect Motive’s interests.

The role requires a US-licensed attorney with substantial in-house or top-tier firm experience, and a proven ability to build a scalable litigation function with proactive leadership.

Qualifications

• US-licensed attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience initiating and leading complex IP, trade secret, Lanham, and competitor-related disputes.
• Significant trial experience including dispositive motions, witness examination, and argument.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive Motive’s litigation strategy across phases: pre-suit assessment, motions, discovery, trial, settlement and appeal.
• Lead the litigation function, manage the team and structure, and oversee budget and staffing.
• Lead outside counsel selection, strategy, staffing, and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Sales, Security, and Finance.
