Job summary

Motive seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel, Litigation to lead Motive’s litigation strategy at the intersection of technology, law, and business objectives. This is a high-impact role guiding the litigation function and partnering with senior leadership across Product, Engineering, Sales, Security, and Finance.

You will manage outside counsel, budgets, and staffing while building a scalable litigation function to support a rapidly growing company. Hybrid schedule in Bay Area.

Qualifications

• US-licensed attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Expertise in initiating and leading complex IP, trade secret, Lanham disputes.
• Significant trial experience including dispositive motions and cross-examination.
• Experience managing outside counsel, budgets, and cross-functional internal teams.
• In-house experience at a high-growth technology company a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive Motive’s litigation strategy across the business.
• Lead the litigation team, outside counsel, and matter staffing/budgets.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Security, and Finance teams.
• Stay up to date on industry developments to anticipate legal risks.
• Work a hybrid schedule in-office (2 days a week) in the Bay Area.
